During the group’s holiday celebration, Islip High School’s Junior Chamber of Commerce Club (which includes student athletes members) found time to remember those in need. While sharing home-baked treats, the students wrote Christmas and Hanukkah cards for disabled veterans. The cards were given to the Islip American Legion Auxiliary Unit 411 for delivery to several veterans homes on Long Island. “The students wanted our local veterans to know that they were especially remembered during this holiday season,” said teacher and club adviser Renee Clock.
